Alumnus of National Defence Academy, 38th Course. Joined 107 Pilot's Course and commissioned as a fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force. Flown a variety of fighters and became a Test Pilot. Undertook developmental test flying and instructed in Test Pilot's School. Then life dealt a hand which helped play out numerous roles across many professions. A special medical exam resulted in a low medical category and converted to Helicopters. Privileged to command two helicopter flying units, first of Cheetahs and the second Mi 35 attack helicopters.  Voluntary retirement after 25 years of service while serving as DS at Staff College, Post retirement, worked as a corporate honcho, did PhD and switched to academic field, Worked as Controller of Exams of a University, set up and ran a B School. Last formal work was teaching small kids in a slum school for a few years. Enjoying life pursuing activities of interest one of which is sharing thoughts and ideas on various subjects with friends and well-wishers.
